PhD Positions
Bochum, Germany

Offering two PhD positions at the University of Bochum

I am starting a new research group on trustworthy federated machine learning at the University of Bochum in collaboration with the Institute for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine (IKIM). My research so far: https://michaelkamp.org/

The group will be working on novel machine learning approaches to learn from distributed healthcare data. Key aspects here are theoretical guarantees on model quality, privacy, and explainability. The goal is to produce theoretically sound methods that can be used in healthcare practice. To that end, my group will be supported by a software developer, and AI and healthcare researchers at IKIM.

I offer two full PhD positions. If you are interested in what a PhD in Germany looks like, have a look at this brilliant tweet from my colleage Andreas Zeller: https://twitter.com/AndreasZeller/status/1278246191482974209
